Mount Druitt Bike Circuit

Photos and story courtesy Barry Grover. Here is his recollection of the Mount Druitt Bike Circuit:

"I did race motorcycles at Mt Druitt during 1953 and 4 and won a Senior Clubman's Division B race for 500cc bikes in 1954. At the request of some of the family I have been writing my autobiography, including motorcycling, which refers to Mt Druitt and other racetracks such as Mt Panorama, Gnoo Blas at Orange, Castlereagh, Bungarribee and a number of others around Sydney. Bungarribee was a dirt circuit short lived and not well known today.

I only have a few photos of Mt Druitt, one of Geoff Duke of Great Britain and the rest of me taken by others. However one shows the old house which was located near the starting and finishing line. The 2 close-ups were taken by the official photographer at the track and the others by friends."
