The Mount Druitt area has a very rich history dating back to the early 1800's. The Mount Druitt area played a prominent role in Australian history from the first days of the New South Wales Colony. Three early settlements, Mount Druitt, Prospect and Colyton all within 4-5kms of each other, were located in the district, about 43kms from Port Jackson.
